Peer Challenge (Multiplayer) allows your child to compete with other KooBits users by answering questions based on their curriculum and level. Each challenge consists of 5 questions, and your child can earn up to 3 Challenge Points (CPs) based on their performance compared to their opponent.

Peer challenges limit per day:
- Math: send or accept up to 3 challenges
- English and Chinese: select 3 Random Challenger

Science: select 1 Random Challenger
Note: To keep learning sustainable and fun, we have balanced the daily workload for Science alongside Math. Following MOE guidelines, these limits are designed to prevent burnout and keep your child motivated across multiple subjects.
- Opening Hours: Available from 6am to 10pm daily.
- Submission: Once you submit your answers, they cannot be changed. Ensure all questions are answered before clicking the Submit button.
- Checking the results: Once both players have finished, you can view the final score by clicking the History icon. Click here to learn more about challenge history in peer challenge.
Sending a Challenge
- Go to the Peer Challenge section.

Choose your opponent from the available options.
Subject Challenge Options Math My Classmate: Challenge someone from your own class.
My Friend: Pick from your BFF list.
Random Challenger: Get matched with another KooBits user at your level.Science, English, and Chinese Random Challenger - Click Start Challenge, complete the 5 questions, and click Submit.
Accepting or Rejecting Challenges
If someone challenges you, it will appear under the Incoming tab.
- Accept: Click to start the peer challenge and submit your answers.
- Reject: If you don't want to play, click Reject.
Note: Rejecting a peer challenge does not count toward your peer challenge limit for the day. The opponent will still earn points based on their own correct answers.
Earning Points in Peer Challenges

- Random Challenges: When you challenge a random opponent, results and CPs are credited immediately to your account and reflected on the leaderboards.

Challenges to Friends or Classmates: If you choose to send a challenge to a friend/classmate, you will see the ‘Pending’ page once you complete your own 5 questions. This means that your challenge request has been successfully sent. You will earn your corresponding CPs after the recipient of the challenge accepts or rejects the challenge.
- Accepts the challenge: The sender of the challenge will earn his/her CPs based on the result. Achievement time will be based on the time the recipient accepted the challenge.
- Rejects the challenge: The sender will earn his/her CPs based on his/her own result. Achievement time will be based on the time the recipient rejected the challenge.
- The recipient of the challenge will have up to 3 days to respond. If not, the pending challenge will expire.
Important notes
- All pending peer challenges will expire in 3 days if not answered. Our system will automatically initiate the awarding of CPs to user accounts with expired Peer challenges at 5:00 (GMT+8) on the 4th day. However, achievement time of such user accounts will be displayed as 6:00 (GMT+8).
- If it is within the last 3 days of a Top Brain Maths season/term*, CPs from expired challenges will be awarded to user accounts by the system after the challenge closing time on the last day of the season/term. Achievement time of such user accounts will be displayed as 22:00 (GMT+8).
* Under Top Brain Maths season/term, all pending peer challenges will expire by the last day of each season/term, or the day before a new term starts^. Refer to Top Brain for full details on each scoring period.
