KooReading is a feature designed to help kids master Chinese reading at their own pace. With a comprehensive leveling system from A to Z, children can choose storybooks that match their current language proficiency and gradually progress to more advanced levels.
✍️ Device Compatibility Note: KooReading is optimized for larger screens such as desktops, laptops, and tablets (portrait view) to ensure a comfortable reading experience. It is currently not supported on mobile phones.
Finding and choosing a book
- Browse by level: Go to the A–Z browse page to view the entire library. Storybooks are organized sequentially from level A (easiest) to level Z (most advanced).
Note: Content is currently available up to Level T. We will continue to add more levels in the future. - Select and explore: Click/tap on any reading level to browse the available Chinese storybooks within that difficulty level.
Customizing your reading experience
On each storybook, you will find 3 control buttons on the right-hand side of the screen to help customize the reading session:
- 🖨️ Print: Allows you to print out a hard copy of the book for offline reading and physical practice.
- 📄 See All Pages: Opens up a bird's-eye thumbnail view of the entire book, allowing you to switch to any specific page.
- ⚙️ Settings: Opens up a custom menu to adjust the book display layout:
- Page-turning: Left to Right, or Up and Down
- Reading Mode: Auto, Single-page view, or Double-page view
