If you are an existing KooBits Premium user and decide to add more subject/s (e.g., adding Science and English to your current Math plan), we ensure your subscriptions are synchronized.
Your current subscription will be extended, and all subjects will be bundled into a new 1-year plan that ends on the same date. To make this fair, the system automatically deducts the value of your unused subscription toward your new Bundle plan.
How the offset works
For example, you are 3 months into your 1-year Math subscription and decide to add Science:
- We calculate the value of the 9 months you haven't used yet.
- This "unused value" is deducted from the price of your new Math + Science bundle.
- After checkout, both your Math and Science subscriptions will become a Bundle plan with the same expiry date.
How to calculate the value of unused subscription
The general formula to calculate the value of the unused amount* of the subscription is:
Amount paid for annual subscription previously (excluding tax paid) / 365 days [x (number of unused days)]
Notes:
- The value of the unused amount is not a fixed amount and will vary every few hours.
- If you previously have unused amount offset in your previous purchase, the value of unused amount for your new purchase will also include this previous unused amount as well.
